Reservations for the 2003 Alberta Classic
All (i.e. 100%)entry fees are returned to you as prize money in a 30% 20%
10% 5% 5% 5% 5% 5% 5% 5% split for the ace** birds and 1% 1% 1% 2% for the race winners:
The 11th and 12th ace birds will be awarded a Professional Version of
(Your name, address, email and loft name will be submitted to get your key)
All birds entered become the property of the Alberta Classic Derby except those bought back for an additional $50.- at the
time of shipping. Buy - backs will be returned upon completion of the yearling schedule. Return shipping expenses are the owner's responsibility.
All fees paid are non- refundable in case of the loss of the entry regardless of
the circumstances surrounding this loss. While visitors on race days are welcome, direct access to the birds cannot be permitted
to anyone until the final auction. Updated results will be published here within a few hours after each race is closed.
To summarize, the birds fly to one loft, are timed in with an electronic "Tauris" timer and graded according to
the total time used in all 4 races.
Only minor changes will be made to the Alberta Classic Derby for the year 2003:
The perch fee will be again $20.- / bird
Entry fees will be $100.-/bird or 4 birds for $300.-
Birds can arrive as early as you want but no later than the Victoria long weekend in the middle of May - please do not ask for exceptions!
A new loft 42' X 32' will be built with a wire floor and the whole front of 42' open. This will provide lots of room, fresh air, sun and also
the occasional shower, and hopefully reduces the stress these youngsters are exposed to.
The darkening system will not be used but light may be used to control the molt.
Every attempt will be made not to use antibiotics against bacterial infections with the possible exception of BMD as this substance is not absorbed
and its effect is therefore limited to the gatro-intestinal tract. Please make sure that your youngsters do not arrive with a handicapped immune system.
